Bypass Regulator
We recommend that you bypass the regulator to avoid fan malfunction.
You can operate the fan using the toggle feature. To use the toggle feature First, switch OFF the fan power supply. Then within 5-7 seconds switch ON the power supply and immediately switch it OFF. Repeat this cycle 4 times for the fan to switch ON.
To purchase a new remote, WhatsApp us at +91 9535080135.
We recommend that you bypass the regulator to avoid fan malfunction.
You can bypass the regulator by disconnecting it from the main switch or direct power supply. Open the switchboard and connect the live wire to the switch directly by disconnecting the regulator in between.
No. NeoDash fans don’t require an additional capacitor.
We recommend bypassing the regulator to avoid instances where an unintentional change in the regulator setting impacts fan performance.
Power supply related
Yes. NeoDash fans are compatible with sine wave inverter
Voltage stabilizer helps to avoid overvoltage.
Remote related
NeoDash Fan comes with RF remote. RF remote can be operated over long distance of up to 100 ft.
Boost button sets the fan speed to its maximum level.
Yes. You can control multiple fans of the same model with a single remote.
If your remote is lost/damaged or not working then you can operate the fan using the toggle feature. To use the toggle feature First, switch OFF the fan power supply. Then within 5-7 seconds switch ON the power supply and immediately switch it OFF. Repeat this cycle 4 times for the fan to switch ON.
Downrod related
We recommend using accessories provided by NeoDash for optimal performance.
We provide only a standard-size downrod for optimal performance and stability of our fans. For a different size downrod, the customer can purchase it from the market.
Product Technology & Performance
Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) motor technology is revolutionizing the electric appliances industry. Though this technology has been around since the 1960s, with the advancements in electronics and magnetics it is now that its application in consumer appliances has become economically viable. BLDC motors have higher efficiency, better performance, and reliability. Inevitably the existing low-efficiency appliances are set to be replaced by the super energy-efficient BLDC technology ones.
A Brushless Direct Current Motor (BLDC) is an electric motor that uses permanent magnets and electronics to achieve the kind of efficiency and performance it delivers. A BLDC motor consists of three main components: stator, rotor, and electronic controller. The rotor is in the form of a permanent magnet ring, and the stator is in the form of polyphase armature windings. An electronic controller drives the brushless DC motor by switching the supply voltage between the stator windings as the rotor turns. The magnetic field generated by the permanent magnets interacts with the field induced by the current in the stator windings generating a mechanical torque that rotates the fan blades.
Brush Less Direct current (BLDC) fans consume up to 60% lower power than Regular fans that use induction motors. For the same air delivery, a 48-inch blade sweep size BLDC fan consumes only 28W versus 75W required for a Regular fan. Along with higher power efficiency, the BLDC motors have better performance and durability than conventional induction motors.
There are two primary differences between BLDC and induction motors. First is the use of permanent magnets in the rotor instead of electromagnets. Second is the use of an electronic commutation instead of a mechanical commutation with brushes to control the current in the stator winding.
Higher efficiency: The efficiency of a motor is a measure of how well it converts electrical energy into useful work. BLDC motors have a higher efficiency because of the permanent magnets in the rotor that lower the electrical and magnetic losses. No brushes for commutation in the BLDC motor eliminate the excitation circuit losses and friction losses. There is no sparking, hence the electrical noise is also less.
Longer life span: Without current flow in the rotor on the BLDC motor, the motor generates much less heat. The wound stator construct of the BLDC motor further allows any heat generated to be dissipated more efficiently, compared to dissipation via the air gap in the induction motor. Since the heat generated in the BLDC Motor is very low, it increases the lifespan of the ceiling fan bearings. There are fewer chances for winding failure due to the use of higher-thickness copper wire in the windings. There are no brushes to wear out resulting in longer motor life.
Wide working voltage range: The conventional fans directly take the mains voltage of 220 Volts. However, BLDC fans have a switched mode power supply (SMPS) that steps down the high AC voltage to a low DC voltage such as 12 Volts or 24 Volts, or 48 Volts. This DC voltage is then fed to the BLDC motor controller which runs the motor through its drive circuit. Due to this design, BLDC fans are able to deliver consistent speed performance between 140 V- 285V despite fluctuations in the mains voltage.
The standard fan requirement for any room above 10×10 is 48 inches (1200mm sweep).
- The standard fan size requirement for any room above 10×10 ft is 48 inches (1200mm sweep). It is the most used ceiling fan size in India. It is suited for the living room, dining room, bedroom, and kitchen area.
- For smaller rooms such as study or utility rooms of less than 70 sq ft, 36 inches (900 mm sweep )or 24 inches (600 mm sweep) ceiling fans can be selected.
- For large family rooms or spaces, 56 inches (1400 mm sweep) are required.
- For rooms larger than 225 sq ft, two standard ceiling fans balance the air circulation in all parts.
The power consumption of a ceiling fan varies based on its size. A fan with 36 inches blade sweep size requires approximately 55 watts. A fan with 48 inches blade sweep usually consumes 75 watts, while a 52-inch-blade fan uses 90 watts. The actual energy consumed is given in kilowatt-hours. A 75-watt regular ceiling fan running for 1 hour consumes 75 watts x 1 hour = 75 watt hour or 0.075kWh units of electricity.
- Speed Level 1 – 5 Watts
- Speed Level 2 – 7 Watts
- Speed Level 3 – 9 Watts
- Speed Level 4 – 12 Watts
- Speed Level 5 – 17 Watts
- Speed Level 6 – 22 Watts
- Speed Level 7 – 28 Watts
A fan circulates air in the room to maintain a fresh breeze. To assess this air delivery, we measure the airflow volume in cubic meters per minute (CMM). CMM is the ratio of the amount of air discharged and the area covered. Airflow depends on several factors such as motor size and the blade angle. Research shows that 210 to 230 CMM is good air delivery.

NeoDash fans are built to last for a minimum of 10 years.
RPM refers to revolutions per minute. It is a measure of the speed of the fan. Any fan speed above 350 RPM is considered High Speed.
Copper winding is the better choice as it is more durable and consumes less power. Aluminium winding fans are generally less expensive but have a shorter life span.
NeoDash fan motors have 100% pure copper motor windings.
Higher quality fans use double ball bearing to reduce friction and improve the product life. Double ball bearing used in the construction of NeoDash motors.
The average weight of a fan with its packaging is about 4.5 kg.
